  10. That's actually not the sculpture! It looks like a photo inspired by it, maybe. Here is the real sculpture, Bernini's Pluto and Prosperina: http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_loj01rfIVk1qzs3iqo1_500.jpg

  14. The hipster soups are hilarious! Well, kinda ridiculous and hilarious. I want to see them in stores!

As for the Volvo/stuntwoman video . . . that doesn't even seem possible. I watched the whole thing and like you, nearly had a heart attack! That woman is brave as all get out and out of her mind!

  15. Ahaha. I had a prof who gave us a list of final exam questions to study, then on the day of the test he handed out blue books and wrote on the board "WHY?" That was it! We study for all the really hard questions and that was it! So, I just wrote down, "Why Not?" and handed in my test and left.

PS - It was a political theory class.

    PPS - I got an A :-)

  23. I saw that sculpture in real life when I was in Rome a few years back and I loved it so much I bought a postcard at the museum and it is framed in my living room as we speak. The part where his fingers dig into her thighs is the part that amazed me the most about it. Bernini is such an incredible artist.

That photo of the sculpture is gorgeous, but it makes it look sexy and romantic. However, when you see the whole thing it is a scene of abduction (when Hades stole Persephone and dragged her to the underworld). In reality it is very powerful, tragic, and scary. Still beautiful though.

Here is a link to the whole sculpture:
